Lines in the Sand Ecological Arts Festivals, it’s artists, environmental art installations, residencies, festivals (2011-14) and research from the island of Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), Quandamooka (Moreton Bay) are acknowledged here.
Lines in the Sand itself was a multi-year artful response to native title determinations on Minjerribah, North Stradbroke Island in 2011 and subsequent plans to end sand-mining on the island. It engaged artists and culture workers from across the island, southern Moreton Bay and mainland. In 2011 it enabled the inaugral Quandamooka Celebrating and Sharing Culture Festival.
