Deanbilla Bay

The Royal QLD Yatch Squadron (RQYS) has shared its plan to establish a Sailing School at Deanbilla Bay on North Stradbroke Island. Land has been given to RQYS by Sibelco Mining. The plans  to establish a ‘sailing school’ and be apart of the islands transition away from mining dependent economy by RQYS are not in consultation with the community. With many problematic practicalities about this site for a Sailing School is this more about the planned 66 boat moorings for the Bay for use by RQYS?
