How to use Window of the Sky points…
Begin which long deep breathing. Sitting up right in a chair, on the ground cross legged or lying down, bring your hands to your lower belly. And expand the belly full and round with a long deep breath in.
Throwing the window open can be blinding so aim to do this with your eyes shut. This also helps you to tune into your sense of touch and identify point location, noticing your body’s response.
Technique One:
Hook fingers of both left and right hands together to make a hook type shape and move them to the back of the neck. Clamping the heal of each hand into the side of the neck.
Squeeze your hands together very slowly so that your finger tips are pulling from the centre back of the neck under the cranium, and your hand heal is pulling at the large, paired muscle in the front of the neck that helps with head movement and balance.
Squeeze with each breath in and release. And spend some time exploring the sensations that arise as you move the head back and forward syncing this with your breathing – deeply in and out, eyes closed.
Technique Two:
Interlace your fingers and place at the back of the neck. As you inhale deeply with the heals of each hand nestled in under the ears and behind the jaw line. Tilt your head back and as you exhale bring your elbows together allowing energy to flow into the brain.
Technique Three:
Clasp you hands into fists and roll the knuckles into crevices at the back of the neck, left and right hand side. Under the cranium and behind the ears. Combine this with breathing deeply.
Technique Four:
At the base of the skull at the tip of top of the spine there is point known as Wind Mansion. With the tip of the index finger place a gentle pressure. This relaxes the body, clears the mind, clears the sense organs. Hold this is in conjunction with the point known as the Back Stream which enables expression of feelings to others.
Next Celestial Chimney is located a the base of the throat in the notch of the neck. Alone it is known to relieve dry cough, asthma, bronchitis, sore throat, heartburn, hiccups, regulating lungs and throat. Hold this in conjunction with a point known as Thunder & Lightning which is an opening point for the Conception Vessel and is located one and a half finger widths down from the wrist crease under the thumb.
What to Expect?
Whilst applying these techniques to the body you may experience a distending, aching, tingling or electric feeling
Your breathing will be calmer and there will be a slowing of the pulse.
Do some gentle neck roles, clockwise, anticlockwise and a figure eight.
Q. Do you feel any tingling?
Q. Energy shifting into and through these areas?
Q. Any sensations in your hands?
If you feel giddy, find a point located one finger width below the nipple line on the sternum or front of chest. Here is a point known as the Sea of Tranquility.
In Conclusion …
Become grounded after this sequence by clasping your hands to your lower belly or abdomen.
I do this sequence often before sleeping, as it amplifies my dreams. For those seeking healing through divination practices or journeying this is a wonderful precursor.
